We’ve had lots of snow, but that’s not stopping us from preparing for our big Grand Opening on Friday, February 12th, and Saturday, February 13th. I hope you’ll mark your calendars and drop by the pet complex, along with your furry valentines!

Today is my 3rd anniversary with my Moms. I have had a good day. They are very busy right now with getting my store ready for opening on Dec 1. We have had a lot of rain, and will probably put us back awhile. Mom Diane is deliberating over the best collars. You know how she is about style and stuff. Mom JUJU is hiring people for the complex. To date I think she has hired 8 of the 13 needed. I hope they will be OK and will make me the #1 in their life. JuJu found this special teeth cleaning thingy, and I am the tester—not my favorite thing to do–but, I have to do my part, since I am the CEO. Must go now, got to rest for tomorrow, more great things to buy and more decisions to make on the store. Love You–Hope to see you soon!! Sam Russell

Sam Russell’s Pet Provisions is looking for a few good people who are pet lovers and enjoy working in a fun environment.

Employee candidates must be familiar with dog behaviors and comfortable working with all sizes of dogs and cats.

Anticipated need date is December 1, 2009.

Sam Russell was born in June of 2006.  We are told he was found by the side of a road in Washington County, Arkansas when he was about 2 months old.  Lucky for him the Fayetteville Animal Shelter picked him up and provided him his first home.

Judy and I adopted him on October 14^th.  We knew at first site he was the one.  Just a young puppy, he tried so hard to impress both of us, running back and forth between the two of us, jumping and playing like he was the happiest dog.  After we were approved to be his parents, we took Sam Russell home to start a long life journey. 

We have always been curious about what breeds make up Sam Russell.  The vets say he is a mixed terrier.  Looking at his face you can see the schnauzer in him.  But what other great breeds are in his mix and personality. 

Today we took his DNA.  It was so easy, just a swab of the cheek.  Send it off and in two weeks we will know.  Stay tuned for the results.
