Obedience and agility training
Basic Obedience Training Classes
Start date: Check with us for the next class, 270-766-1955.
6 weeks long, 1 night per week, 1 hour each session.
$95 per dog for all 6 weeks.
Dogs 4 months old and up with 4 sets of vaccines, DHPP, rabies and bordetella.
Basic obedience skills to be taught are as follows:
- Heel, Sit, Stay, Down and Come
- Walking politely on a leash
Unwanted behaviors to be addresses are as follows:
- Jumping on people
- Excessive pulling on the leash
- Darting out doors
Martingale collars are required for class with a 6′ leash.
Collars are available at Sam Russell’s Pet Provisions for purchase.
Karin Hix of Mutty Buddies Dog Training, Inc., has loved dogs and has had an interest in them for years, which led her to pursue a career in professional dog training. After being an amateur at dog training skills, she attended the master dog training course at National K9 School for Dog Trainers to receive her certification. After graduation in 2003, she established her own dog training company She enjoys her career working with dogs and specializes in behavior and problem solving and finds the work interesting and rewarding. Karin is an associate member of the International Association of Canine Professionals, an AKC Canine Good Citizen Evaluator and is also an affiliate of the Sessions with Cesar Milan, The Dog Whisperer, Trainer Program. Karin is originally from Louisville, KY, and has 3 dogs of her own that she positively adores. In 2010, Karin was dominated as one of the top 5 trainers in the Louisville area.
