Sam Russell’s Pet Provisions is the embodiment of total pet care from its gift boutique with vintage antiques showcasing better, upscale accessories and best available of all-natural holistic food products, to the Bath House Spa with state-of-the-art equipment providing a positive, clean pet experience, to the Play Yard Day Care offering a unique day experience consisting of some basic training, nap time, and supervised play.
The total store experience will reflect an emotional connection with our customers through our environment of pampered pet luxury. It is our hope to not only create a thriving business with a strong market position among the local patrons, but also to be very involved with the community by giving back to those around us.

A Touch of History
The Sam Russell’s Pet Provisions complex is proudly using reclaimed wood and tin from a historic barn that belonged to local historic figure Carl Brashear.
- Historic barn whose reclaimed materials are integrated into the SRPP Building
Brashear lived on a farm in Sonora in the late 30′s and early 40′s. The barn dates back to the late 1800′s. Brashear was the first African-American to become a U.S. Navy Master Diver in 1970. In 2000, Brashear’s military service was portrayed by actor Cuba Gooding, Jr., in the film Men of Honor.
We were able to salvage materials from Brashear’s old historic barn to incorporate into the unique design of the store. Look for the barn wood and old tin roof that completes the warm feel of the provision shop.
